Use your energy at the moment it is worth the most

With Jullix, your solar panels, home battery, EV charger and heat pump work together instead of each doing their own thing.

Why smart energy management?

The same consumption, at a cheaper moment

  • Your heat pump water heater runs when the sun shines, not when electricity is expensive
  • Your car charges on your own surplus instead of from the grid
  • Your home battery fills up at the cheapest time of day
  • Your monthly peak stays under control, and with it part of your grid charges
  • When prices turn negative, we pause your inverter instead of you paying to feed in

The brain of your installation

Solar panels, a home battery, an EV charger and a heat pump each do exactly what they were made for. But they know nothing about each other. Your water heater switches on at the time it is set to, even if there is no sun at that moment. Your car starts charging as soon as you plug it in, even if the power would be better used by the house at that moment.

Jullix, by Innovoltus, is an energy management system that puts an end to that. It reads your digital meter through the P1 port, looks at the weather forecast and at your own consumption profile, and decides each time which appliance gets its turn. The longer it runs, the better it knows your home.

The result is not that you use less. It is that you use the same amount at times when it costs you much less.

Works with what you already have

Brand-independent, including on an existing installation

Innovoltus states that it is compatible with about 80% of the inverter market, which means an existing installation can usually simply be connected.

  • Inverters: including SMA, Huawei, GoodWe, SolaX, Sungrow, Solis, SAJ, Sofar, Sigenergy, Solinteg, Marstek, TSUN and Solarwatt
  • Home batteries: both hybrid inverters and retrofit solutions
  • EV chargers: including Peblar, Alfen, Mennekes, SolaX, Teltonika, Blitz and Veton
  • Heat pumps and heat pump water heaters: via an SG-Ready contact
  • Electric water heaters and fixed loads: via a switching contact
  • Smart plugs: for appliances you want to include

Not sure whether your installation is on the list? Send us the brand and type of your inverter and we will look it up for you.

Four ways

Where the savings come from

Increasing self-consumption

What your panels generate and you do not use straight away goes to the battery, the water heater or the car, in that order, depending on your own settings. What you use yourself, you do not have to buy. That is almost always worth more than what you get back for feeding in.

Working with the hourly price

If you have a dynamic energy contract, Jullix looks at the next day's hourly prices and plans around them. Charging when it is cheap, using the battery when it is expensive, but only when the difference is large enough to cover the wear on the battery.

Flattening your monthly peak

In Flanders, part of your grid charges is based on your average monthly peak, with a minimum of 2.5 kW. If the car, the water heater and the oven all switch on at once, that sets a peak you pay for all year. Jullix spreads those loads or limits their power to stay within the limit you set.

Pausing at negative prices

On sunny days with low demand, the energy price can drop below zero. Feeding in then costs you money. At those moments Jullix throttles your inverter, or stops it temporarily.

See everything, always

Through the myJullix app and the web portal at mijn.jullix.be, you follow live what is happening in your home: what your panels generate, what goes into the battery, what you draw from the grid and what a charging session cost. You also see the history, your self-consumption percentage and what the energy management has delivered so far.

Everything runs automatically. If you want to decide for yourself for a moment (the car full now, whatever the price), you take over control with a single tap.

Let your battery earn too

If you have a home battery, you can let it take part in the imbalance market through the partnership between Innovoltus and Powernaut: your battery helps keep the grid in balance and you are paid for it. Innovoltus mentions up to 210 euros a year extra, provided you have an energy contract with Trevion or Bolt. Your battery always gives priority to your own consumption.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask us

What exactly is an energy management system?

A small unit in your fuse box that reads your digital meter and controls your appliances. It does not just measure, it also decides: which appliance runs when, and at what power. Without such a system, every appliance does its own thing.

Do I need a home battery to benefit from this?

No. Even without a battery, Jullix shifts your water heater, your car and your heat pump to the times when you have sun or when electricity is cheap. With a battery the effect is clearly greater, because there is then something to distribute in the evening too.

Does this work with my existing installation?

In most cases, yes. Innovoltus states that it supports about 80% of the inverter market, and the list keeps growing. Send us the brand and type of your inverter and charger, and we will tell you in advance, not afterwards.

How much will I save?

That depends too much on your situation to put a figure on it here: your consumption, your contract, whether you have a battery and an electric car. During the site visit we calculate it with your own figures. If it delivers too little, we will tell you that too.

What if I change energy supplier?

Then everything keeps working. You update your tariff in the app and Jullix continues calculating with the new prices. If you have a dynamic contract, it retrieves the hourly prices automatically.

Curious what energy management would deliver for you?

Send us the brand and type of your inverter, and we will tell you in advance whether it suits your installation, and what it can realistically deliver.
